1) STRETCHER BOND

Stretcher Bond Called As Half Brick Wall Or Partition Wall, Thickness Of Wall 9 cm Only.
For Stretcher Bond Lap Length Is 9 cm.
In Order To Break The Alignment Of Vertical Joint Half Bat Used In Alternate Courses.
2) HEADER BOND

Using Header Bond Only One Brick Wall Is Constructed, So it Uses For Construction Of External Walls.
For Header Bond Lap Length Is 4.5 cm.
Header Bond Is Not Use To Construct Load Bearing Structures.
In Order To Break The Vertical Joint Alignment 3/4th Bat Used In Each Alternate Course.
3) ENGLISH BOND

English Bond Is Most Strongest Bond And Widely Used.
Using English Bond 1, (1×1/2), 2, (2×1/2) Etc Brick Wall Can Constructed.
English Bond Used To Construct Load Bearing Walls.
For English Bond Lap Length Is 4.5 cm.
Half Queen Closer Used To Break Vertical Joint Allignment.
Heading Course Should Never Start With Queen Closer.
4) FLEMISH BOND

Flemish Bond Is Most Pleasing Bond.
For Flemish Bond Lap Length Is 4.5 cm.
Using Flemish Bond 1, (1×1/2), 2, (2×1/2) Etc Brick Wall Can Constructed.
Flemish Bond Is Also Suitable For Load Bearing Walls.
In Flemish Bond Queen Closer Used To Break Vertical Joint Alignment.
NOTE:- Flemish Bond Gives More Pleasing Appearance Than English Bond, But English Bond Is Stronger Than Flemish Bond.
A) Double Flemish Bond:-
Each Course Presents The Same Appearance In Front Face As Well As Back Face.
B) Single Flemish Bond:-
It Consist Of Double Flemish Bond Facing And English Bond Back Facing.(Hearting In Each Course)
5) FACING BOND

Facing Bond Consist Of Heading And Stretching Courses So, That One Heading Course Comes After Several Stretching Courses.
Facing Bond Not Structurally Good And Load Distribution Is Not Uniform.
6) RAKING BOND

In This Bond, The Bonding Bricks Are Laid At Any Angle Other Than 0 Or 90°.
The Raking Or Inclination Should Be In Opposite Direction In Alternate Courses Of Raking Bond.
This Bond Provided In The Stretcher Courses Of Wall Having Thickness Equal To Even Number Of Half Brick.
Now, This Arrangement Make A Ranking Bond More Effective.
Ranking Bonds Have Three Types,
- Diagonal Bond
- Herring Bond
- Zig-Zig Bond
A) Diagonal Bond:-
In This Type Bricks Laid Diagonally.
The Angle Of Inclination Is Selected That There Minimum Breaking Of Bricks.
B) Herring Bone Bond:-
Bricks Laid At An Angle Of 45° From Center In Both Direction.
C) Zig-Zag Bond:-
Similar To Herring Bone Bond, Except That The Brick Laid In Zig-Zag Fashion.
7) DUTCH BOND

Dutch Bond Is Modified Bond Of English Bond.
The Corners Of Wall Strengthened And Arrangement Of Bricks Is Similar To English Bond.
A Header Is Introduced Next To The Three-Quarter Bat In Every Stretcher Course.
