“WHICH IS THE BEST CEMENT FOR WALL PLASTER”
ØDifferent types of cement are manufactured to meet different physical and chemical requirements for specific purposes.
Ø We have three best options:–
1)OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement)
2)PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement)
3)PSC (Portland Slag Cement)
OPC |
OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) is used for all general purposes and widely used for all ordinary concrete work, mortar, plaster etc.
PSC |
PSC (Portland Blast Furnace Slag Cement) is special blended cement with low heat of hydration. It is used in mass concrete structures like a dam.
PPC |
PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement) is also the most commonly used type of cement. Waste materials from power plant like fly ash are used in the production of Portland pozzolana cement. It is used in mass concrete constructions like high-rise buildings, underwater concrete structures such as bridges, piers, dams etc. The heat of hydration rate is lower in this type of cement. Because of the lower heat of hydration, it is also used in plastering work.
Now Which Grade Of Cement Is Best
For Plastering?
A) 43 Grade, B)53 Grade.
The OPC comes as 43 Grade and 53 Grade. The 53 Grade is recommended for footing, beams, slab, and columns since you need to have initial strength while making these structures. For general plastering work or masonry work, you may use the other two PPC and PSC. Here you do not want any initial strength.
So We Can use 43 grade of OPC or PPC for the plastering work.
